Whatever He says, Do it!

‘His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” — John 2:5 (NKJV)

In verses seven and eight of John 2 (NKJV), Jesus instructed the servants to, “Fill the water pots with water.” They did. Then He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they did so. Scripture says, “When the master of the feast tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” — John 2:7-10

There was about to be a moment of embarrassment for the bridegroom and his family, but Jesus intervened in spite of His own set timeline. When we find ourselves in our lowest moments, we can be assured of Jesus’ provision. God offers us comfort and hope, reminding us that He has a solution to every problem.

In John 21:3-6 (NKJV), ‘Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” Scripture says they caught nothing that night. “But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know it was Jesus.” He asked if they had caught any fish, to which they replied in the negative.  Jesus then said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”

As servants of God, if we continue to remain in His presence, we will find our solutions right there. No one in this world has all the answers, but God will provide for us if we cling to His Word, trust Him, and keep our eyes fixed on Him.

Testimony

In the early days of my business, I would typically use three hundred dollars to replace supplies. Like others in the same profession, I would purchase what was needed. However, one day, the Holy Spirit instructed me to “do what is right.” Despite my initial shock, I spent $5,000 on the proper materials, even though it seemed unnecessary since everyone else was using the less expensive option. At that time, I had only one client, but now, I have many. I witnessed God launch my business. My God did not fail me. Grow your faith.
